Meet Chariti
Chariti Skinner, M.S. CCC-SLP

Chariti is a state licensed and American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) certified Speech Language Pathologist. She graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Masters in Speech Language Pathology and moved to Knoxville to begin her career and start a family. Chariti has over 10 years of experience serving children birth to 18 years in a variety of settings: the school system, outpatient clinic, and in-home therapy for children ages birth to three. She thoroughly enjoys working with children to increase communication skills, improve articulation, and foster confidence in both children and parents-- It's true what they say... it takes a village!
Chariti has a strong passion for children with feeding issues/difficulties and continues to participate in ongoing trainings to enhance her skills and share her knowledge with others on her team. She holds a certificate for completion of the Feed The Peds course, with over 50 hours of instruction in the areas of infant/pediatric feeding and swallowing. Additionally, Chariti is currently a Fellow of Orofacial Myology, having completed the 28-hour course with the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) and is working towards becoming a Certified Orofacial Myologist (COM). Chariti is an active member of ASHA, IAOM and the Foundation of Airway Health and enjoys collaborating with and learning from other professionals. In her spare time, you will find her spending time with her husband, Mark, and their two daughters: Isabella and Mabry. |
